Description: Eagle Physicians & Associates, P.A., is a physician-owned, physician-led multi-specialty medical group of 55 MDs (25 are family physicians) serving the Greater Greensboro area. Eagle’s residency-trained, board-certified family physicians care for their own patients in the office, emphasizing clinical excellence, evidenced-based diagnosis and treatment, teamwork, continuity of care, good communications, professionalism, outstanding service and maintaining a highly collegial atmosphere. Eagle has six well-established primary care offices in Greensboro and one neighboring community, and also operates an afternoon, evening and weekend after-hours clinic. Consultation from board-certified physicians in gastroenterology, ob-gyn, sleep medicine, endocrinology and pediatrics is readily available within Eagle. The full spectrum of other consultative and referral services is available in Greensboro from members of the Cone Health System medical staff.

Family Medicine Opportunities with Eagle: Eagle is currently recruiting for both full-time and part-time (1/2 time or greater) family medicine physicians. Additional information about Eagle can be found on our website (www.eaglemds.com). Eagle’s family physicians have chosen not to do inpatient care (which is covered 24/7 by the Triad Hospitalists), or obstetrics. Eagle offers a competitive financial guarantee and a comprehensive fringe benefit package during the first year with the group with partnership is available after 1 to 2 years.

Hospital Information: Patients of Eagle family physicians who require hospitalization are admitted and followed by the Triad Hospitalists (board-certified internists). Communications among the family physicians and the hospitalists are excellent. Hospital admissions are at Moses Cone, Wesley Long or Women’s Hospitals in Greensboro, all of which are part of the Cone Health System. At the 3 Cone hospitals in Greensboro, there is a comprehensive range of secondary and tertiary level diagnostic and treatment services and 800+ beds. The family medicine residency program at Cone is affiliated with UNC Medical Center - Chapel Hill.

Community Information: Greensboro is a city of 300,000 people, with a regional population of approximately 1.6 million. Greensboro is located in the central “Piedmont” area of North Carolina, within easy driving distance of both the mountains and the beach via Interstate 40 and several other major highways. There is a four-season climate (winter is very short and moderate!) The Piedmont Triad International airport in Greensboro has 6 different airlines and 65+ flights daily, direct to major cities in the East, South and Midwest. Arts, education and recreation opportunities are plentiful in Greensboro, including 4 colleges and universities, the prestigious Eastern Music Festival, a regional shopping and convention center, a great park system with lakes, bike trails and gardens, a variety of public and private schools, diverse faith organizations, and numerous clubs and groups to engage nearly every possible interest.
