Supporting Autism Awareness Month
Eagle Internal Medicine @ Tannenbaum employees know how to rally around a good cause! Many of the staff recently made cash donations to purchase special educational items for a classroom of autistic students as Our Lady of Grace school as a way to show their support to the daughter of a colleague during April’s Autism Awareness Month. Thank you ladies for taking care of our community both inside and outside of the Eagle office!
Tanger Properties Annual Health Fair
Eagle Physicians had a great day, April 12th interacting with the employees of Tanger Properties. Their annual health fair was an awesome opportunity for individuals to get face-to-face with providers and make better health choices. Eagle was glad to participate in a packed event of close to 200 employees and remind everyone to Stay Healthy.
Eagle's 1st Walk With A Doc event Saturday, April 8th was a huge success with a turn-out of over 30 people, a dozen or more dogs and loads of baby strollers. Eagle OB/GYN Dr. Evelyn Varnado led the team of confident walkers on an easy 40 minute walk through Latham Park that was paced for both fast and slow walkers. It was a beautiful morning to connect with patients and make new friends; both 2 and 4 legged. Please mark your calendars for this monthly event that occurs on the 2nd Saturday of each month 9am. Our next walk will be May 13th and we'll post more information soon about it.
Eagle Family Medicine @ Brassfield Lab Technician Dee wanted to do something special for the community and came up with the idea of collecting gently used purses and pocketbooks and filling them with personal items for homeless women. All the staff and physicians at Brassfield loved the idea and collectively brought in 28 purses and filled them with useful toiletries and women's personal items - there were so many donations from staff and providers that they had more items than purses and were able to deliver all of the supplies and purses to the Greensboro Urban Ministry Women's Shelter this week. Thank you Dee and everyone at Brassfield for your big hearts and for the quality care you deliver to our community - both inside and outside of the Eagle office!
