Eagle Physicians & Associates, PA was formed in 1995 by 33 Greensboro physicians from five, long-established, small, private group practices. Eagle's physician founders decided it was essential to remain an independent, physician-owned and led organization, yet "get bigger" to improve the quality of patient care and service and to remain financially viable in the shadow of ever larger insurance companies, hospitals and national health corporations. This type of physician-directed organization helps to ensure that Eagle's principal focus remains on the medical needs of patients, now and in the future.

Eagle's objective is to offer patients the advantages of having a personal primary physician selected by the patient, and the comforts of a smaller office setting, with the benefits of a larger, multi-specialty group practice.

Eagle physicians have dedicated themselves to working together as colleagues in the context of a larger, multi-specialty group practice in order to collaborate on quality improvements, to offer new clinical and administrative services, to become more specialized where appropriate, and to be cost-effective. By practicing “evidence-based medicine”, and gaining economies of scale in purchasing the goods and services necessary to run a medical practice, Eagle can offers more cost-effective services and outstanding value.

Eagle Physicians & Associates, PA has enjoyed outstanding growth, thanks to the support of its loyal patients, and many new families who have placed their confidence in an Eagle physician. The Eagle group has grown to 80+ physicians and other health care professionals with 12 offices in the Greensboro area (click on Specialties for more details).  Several new specialties and additional ancillary services were added to better serve patients, including Ob-Gyn, Endocrinology, the Eagle Endoscopy Center, Bone Density and Ultrasound testing.

To improve Eagle's ability to see patients more promptly, Eagle increased the number of physicians and specialties available in our group practice, and has opened or expanded medical office facilities at Lake Jeanette, Guilford College, Triad, Brassfield, Oak Ridge, and Tannenbaum, to complement our established offices (click on Locations for a list of locations and a map).

We understand that a patient’s time is valuable and that medical problems cannot always be "scheduled in advance". Even if you do not have an appointment, we encourage all patients to call to see if their personal physician at Eagle is available and can work you into his or her schedule. Eagle also offers extended hour, "walk-in" service for urgent care type problems during the evening, and on Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays at the Guilford College office (click on Urgent Care for more details).
